Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 May 2026

Welcome

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of coffeecompanyroastery.gr and any order you place with Coffee Company. By browsing the site, placing an order, or booking a seminar, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully. If there is anything you don't understand or don't agree with, email us at coffeecompanyroastery@gmail.com before you order.

Who we are

The site and the shop are operated by: COFFEE COMPANY ETERORRYTHMI ETAIREIA Merarchias Serron 52, 69100 Komotini, Rhodope, Greece ΑΦΜ: 801274754 ΓΕΜΗ: 153268411000 Email: coffeecompanyroastery@gmail.com When these terms say "we", "us", or "Coffee Company", that's who we mean. When they say "you" or "customer", they mean the person browsing the site or placing the order.

Prices and VAT

All prices on the site are shown in euro (EUR) and are VAT-inclusive. Greek VAT is applied at the rate that corresponds to each product category: • Coffees — 13% VAT (Greek reduced rate) • Equipment and seminars — 24% VAT (Greek standard rate) For Greek B2B customers requesting an invoice, your ΑΦΜ (VAT number) is validated against the EU VIES database before the invoice is issued. If VIES is temporarily unavailable, or if the number does not validate, we will contact you to issue the invoice manually. We make every effort to keep prices accurate, but if a clear pricing error occurs we reserve the right to cancel and refund any affected order before it ships.

How to place an order

The ordering flow is: 1. Choose your products and add them to your cart. 2. Review the cart, enter your delivery and (optionally) invoicing details. 3. Choose a payment method. 4. Place the order. You will receive an order confirmation by email. The contract between you and us is formed when we send you the order confirmation. We may decline an order — for example, if a product is out of stock or if we cannot validate the payment — and will let you know promptly with a full refund of any amount already taken.

Payment methods

We accept the following payment methods: • Card — credit and debit cards processed by Stripe Checkout. Strong Customer Authentication (3-D Secure) is applied where your bank requires it. We never see or store your full card number. • Cash on delivery (COD) — pay the Speedex courier in cash when your parcel arrives. A small COD fee (currently €2.50 per parcel) applies and is shown at checkout before you place the order. If a card payment fails or is declined by your bank, your order will not be confirmed. You can try again with another card or switch to cash on delivery.

Shipping

We currently ship within Greece only, using Speedex as our courier. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated based on the parcel's weight and your postal code, and are shown at checkout before you confirm the order. Once a parcel is handed to Speedex, you will receive tracking information by email. Delivery times are estimates given by the carrier and we cannot guarantee them in case of carrier delays. Risk of loss and damage passes to you on delivery.

Right of withdrawal

Under Greek consumer law (Law 2251/1994, transposing Directive 2011/83/EU), if you are a consumer (i.e. not buying for your business) you have the right to withdraw from a distance-sale contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, email us at coffeecompanyroastery@gmail.com within the 14-day window with your order number and a brief statement of withdrawal. You will then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us, at your expense (unless the item arrived defective). Exceptions: under Greek consumer law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once they have been unsealed after delivery — this includes sealed coffee bags that have been opened, and any custom-ground coffee produced to your order. Once we receive the returned goods in resaleable condition, we will refund the price you paid using the same payment method you used for the order, within 14 days.

Defective or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, contact us at coffeecompanyroastery@gmail.com within a reasonable time after delivery (we recommend within 14 days) with your order number and, where possible, a photo of the issue. We will arrange a free return, and once we have inspected the item we will either send a replacement or issue a full refund — including return shipping costs — using the same payment method you used. Your statutory rights under Greek consumer law are not affected by this paragraph.

Seminars and training

SCA Coffee Skills and Q Arabica Grader seminars are scheduled separately and require a minimum number of attendees to run. Seminar dates are confirmed once the minimum is reached; if a seminar is cancelled by us due to insufficient attendance, you will be offered the next available date or a full refund. Cancellation by the participant: • More than 14 days before the start date: full refund. • Between 14 and 7 days before the start date: 50% refund. • Less than 7 days before the start date, or no-show: no refund. If you cannot attend, you may transfer your seat to another person at no charge by emailing us at coffeecompanyroastery@gmail.com at least 24 hours before the start of the seminar.

Wholesale

Wholesale relationships — for cafés, restaurants, offices, and resellers — are not concluded through the shop. To start a wholesale account, submit the form at /wholesale and we will be in touch to discuss pricing, terms, and logistics. Wholesale orders are governed by a separate written agreement, not by these terms.

Intellectual property

The site, the Coffee Company name and logo, product photography, descriptions, and all written content are owned by Coffee Company (or licensed to us) and protected by copyright, trade-mark, and other intellectual-property law. You may browse the site for your personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, redistribute, or republish our content — including product images and descriptions — without our prior written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for losses arising out of or in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, or business opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot be excluded or limited under Greek law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or under mandatory consumer-protection rules.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by Greek law. The courts of Komotini / Rhodope have jurisdiction over any dispute arising under these terms, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules give you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.

Online dispute resolution

If you are an EU consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr Our contact email for ODR purposes is coffeecompanyroastery@gmail.com.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order is the version that governs that order — later changes do not apply retroactively. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when the current version took effect.
